Bottomless portafilter, not bad for only doing this a couple of days.

Carezza’s are great. These can be used forever if treated right. Over extracted means that it was brewed to slowly. You’ve gotta play with the grind settings to get this right.

what does over extracted mean in regard to espresso making?
im new to this and bought a carezza. am scared ive got a crappy machine now uve commented?

Very average looking shot. Light color indicates the temperature was too low. Late blonding means you’ve over-extracted the shot; try grinding finer and see what happens. Gaggia Carezza’s are tough to tune for great shots – no OPV/PRV and no way to regulate temps – but it can be done.
